Telephone Touch-Tone Commands
ReadyConnect® features are designed for ease of use and functionality. These
features are available only to the Host with exception of Self-Mute, Gain
Control and Operator Assistance. To hear the menu of options, simply press ** on
your telephone keypad.

Options Menu Press **
Allows the Host and participants to access to the Options Menu during the conference.
Note: To select a feature from the Options Menu, wait until the message is
complete and then select the feature, or press any other key to stop the message and
select the feature.
Recording Press *#2
The conference recording begins once the Host selects option 1 from the *#2
recording menu. If the Host needs to lock the conference, then the recording
must start after the conference has been locked. The recording feature allows
the Host to record up to 10 conferences, which are available for 90 days and
then automatically erased by the system.
- Start Recording Press *#2, then select option 1
- Stop Recording Press *#2
Listening to the Recording
You must have your Confirmation Number and Participant Passcode to access a
recording.
Note: Your Confirmation Number is assigned during your ReadyConnect account
setup and is included in your email confirmation. Both your Confirmation Number
and Participant Passcode are printed on the front of your ReadyConnect card.
The Playback Menu will provide the following details:
- The number of recordings available with the account
- The date, time, and playback duration of the existing account
- The commands for listening to the existing recording, the previous recording or
the next recording
As each recording instance is announced, the Host can either listen to the
existing recording, the previous recording or the next recording by entering
the following touch-tone command(s):
- Existing Recording
Press 2
- Previous Recording Press 1
- Next Recording Press 3
- Exit Playback Menu and Disconnect Call Press 9
Playback Menu Example: There are five conferences available. This
conference was recorded on July 1, 2007, and is 1 hour and 31 minutes in length.
Select 2 to listen to this conference recording. Select 1 to move to the
previous conference recording. Select 3 to move to the next conference
recording. Select 9 to exit.
During the playback of your recorded conference, you have the following options:
- Fast Forward Press 3#
- Rewind Press 1#
- Pause/Resume Press 5#
- Skip Backward Press 4#
- Skip Ahead Press 6#
- Normal Playback Press 2#
Roll Call Press *#3
When the Host selects this option, a recorded message states the names of all
current Participants. Entry and Exit tones will notify the Host of conference
activity.
A count of the number of current Participants is available by pressing
*#8.
Conference Lock/Unlock Press *#4
Initially, the conference will begin unlocked. The Host can lock the conference by
pressing *#4. To unlock the conference after the lock has been activated, press
*#4 again.
Muting Press *#5
- To Self-Mute ones own line Press *4
- To activate Presentation Mode Press *#5 (all Participants are muted)
Note: To undo any of these options, repeat the same steps and it will reverse
the process.
Conference Continuation Press *#9
If the Host needs to leave the conference, and would like his/her Participants to
remain in conference he/she can press *#9. Only the Participant features are
enabled during Conference Continuation, and the conference ends when the last
Participant disconnects.
Operator Assistance and Dial Out Assistance Press *0
Getting Started with ReadyConnect Web Meeting:
Prior to the meeting, distribute the Web Meeting URL: http://connect.www.actconferencing.com and Participant Passcode (which is the
same as your ReadyConnect Passcode) to your Participants. At the time of the
meeting, go to http://connect.www.actconferencing.com and follow these four simple commands:
- Select Host
- Select either Premium (application sharing) or Basic (presentation mode
only)
- Enter details (Host Login ID, Host Passcode, Name, etc.)
- Start meeting (click on the Start icon in the upper left-hand corner of your
screen, or follow the Getting Started instructions on the main screen)
Please note, your Participants will be unable to join until you have started
the web conference.
