ACT Conferencing Introduces New Eco-Friendly Service Offerings
High Definition Video Conferencing and Conservation Calculator Reveal Quantifiable Contributions to Sustainability
Golden, Colo., July 15, 2008 – To further demonstrate its commitment to environmental sustainability, and to support organizations in a time of high-hassle and high-cost travel, ACT Conferencing today introduced two new service offerings. High Definition (HD) Video bridging services enable customers to conduct premium quality virtual meetings using three times the video resolution of a standard definition video conference. Also announced today, ACTs Conservation Calculator quantifies the amount of time, money and carbon emissions saved by using ACTs services to conduct meetings virtually. Both services are now available.
ACTs HD Video bridging services remove barriers of virtual communication and dramatically enhance the quality of video conferencing. By leveraging the power of high definition resolution, ACTs HD Video offers the closest equivalent to face-to-face communication that is available today. The new services enable companies to achieve the highly effective nature of in-person communication without spending the time, costs and carbon emissions required to conduct a face-to-face meeting.
To round out this new offering, ACT can now service any client with HD Video, regardless of the size or location of the company. This level of flexibility enables ACT to service a broader array of customers around the world and stimulates new growth opportunities for the company.
“We are utilizing the most advanced technology available to extend our commitment to environmental sustainability,” said Marina Bogard, chief sales and marketing officer, ACT Conferencing. “Our HD Video bridging services reduce the necessity to travel which enables our customers around the world to meet more often, reduce their carbon footprint, and save time and money in an increasingly difficult travel environment.”
To quantify the estimated resources required for an in-person meeting, ACT has developed the Conservation Calculator, a free, interactive calculator that quantifies the amount of time, money and resources saved by using ACTs conferencing services versus conducting in-person meetings. By entering the type of conferencing service used (audio, video or web), the location where the meeting will be hosted and the number of participants, the Conservation Calculator instantly tabulates the numerous benefits achieved by using ACTs services.
“The new Conservation Calculator helps our customers clearly grasp the many ways ACTs services provide resource efficiencies and contribute to a more sustainable environment,” Bogard said. “Its a clear, quantifiable way to prove the additional value our conferencing solutions provide beyond the unmatched quality and superior service our customers consistently experience.”
