ACT Webinar: Collaboration and Social Media: How to Tame User Anarchy

Lakewood, Colorado — August 23, 2011 — Join ACT Conferencing on Thursday, August 25 at 1 p.m. EDT for a free, one-hour webinar that will address the challenges IT now faces with the onslaught of personal communication devices into the workplace. The webinar will be led by Marc Beattie, senior analyst, Wainhouse Research.

  • In a Network World survey, 69% of IT managers say their employers let employees use personal mobile devices to connect to the corporate network, and 25% say they don't have a policy about access or are unaware of one.
  • Industry analyst Aberdeen Group surveyed 500 enterprises and found that 72% permit use of employee-owned mobile devices for business purposes. Up from 40% two years ago. 45% said "yes" to any type of device, and 27% said devices had to be compliant with policy.

Is there a way to Tame User Anarchy or has brand preference trumped corporate control? This short 25 minute webinar takes a critical look at user's collaboration and social media trends and explores what users really want.
