Mark Kelly, President, ACT Operations
Mark Kelly was promoted to President at ACT Conferencing in January 2011, from his previous position as the company's Chief Operating Officer. He joined ACT in 1998, and has been responsible for operations, product development, telecom infrastructure, management information systems and back-office functions. Mr. Kelly has more than 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry.
Prior to joining ACT in 1998, Mr. Kelly was co-founder and Vice President of Engineering for Advanced Multi-Point Conferencing (AMC), a teleconferencing service provider based in Ottawa, Canada, that was acquired by ACT.
From 1987 until 1993, Mr. Kelly held a number of positions at Nortel Networks, including Manager for Core Software Development for Nortel's audio conference bridging platform and Member of the Scientific Staff.
Jennie McQuade, General Counsel/Vice President of Human Resources
Prior to serving as the General Counsel/Vice President of Human Resources for ACT, Jennie L. McQuade served as General Counsel/CSA for JAG-Colorado. Ms. McQuade was the principal staff member charged with overseeing all legal matters. She was also responsible for planning, organization, implementation and management of Operations, including accounting, finance, human resources, IT and Network function and administration. She provided planning, guidance, support and staff supervision to ensure effective implementation and achievement of goals and objectives as outlined in the organization’s strategic plan.
Ms. McQuade served as General Counsel for the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards (CFP Board). She was the principal staff member charged with overseeing all the corporate legal affairs of CFP Board. She has also served as a law clerk for Colorado Supreme Court Justice Kirshbaum, worked in private practice and taught business law at American University.
Ms. McQuade holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance/Real Estate from Colorado State University and obtained a Juris Doctorate from the University of Denver in 1995.
Gary Iles, Vice President of Global Marketing and Sales
Gary Iles is a telecommunications and high-tech marketing executive who has spent 23 years launching products, growing revenue and turning around failing organizations. Iles’ leadership experiences in Marketing, Product, Sales, IT, Operations, and Billing afford him an imaginative perspective across the product lifecycle. With this perspective, Iles has successfully transformed organizations by cultivating “start-up” cultures that move quickly to deliver service innovations across the entire value chain.
Since joining ACT in 2007, Iles has been committed to progressing ACT's strategic vision and designing cloud-based collaboration services on an innovative and industry leading, state-of-the-art service creation platform, TEEM. As a Product Director at Level 3 Communications, he led complex customer implementations, launched channel programs and managed their local voice services. As Qwest Communication’s eCommerce Director, Iles led a software development team which delivered an award-winning consumer portal and online customer experience. During his career, Iles has consulted to global companies, including engagements with AT&T, British Telecom, IBM, Lucent Technologies, and U S West Communications.
Iles holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration in Marketing and Management from St. Edwards University, and a Master's in International Business from the University of South Carolina's acclaimed Moore School of Business.
Kelli Smith, Vice President of Finance
Prior to joining ACT as Vice President, Finance, Kelli Smith was Treasurer for Dolphin Mgmt Shared Services, Inc. since 2007. She was responsible for overseeing the Controller/Accounting/Human Resource functions for multiple companies located throughout the United States. During her tenure with Dolphin, Ms. Smith built and managed the ACT Finance Team.
Ms. Smith came to Dolphin after a fourteen year career with Rayonier, a global forest products company, ranked in the Fortune 500. In her final role as Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis, Ms. Smith lead the corporate forecast and budget processes.
Ms. Smith holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of North Florida.
Matthew Fredrickson, Vice President of Operations
As Vice President of Operations, Matthew Fredrickson is responsible for all technical and call center operations, including ACT’s global network and Project Management Office.
Mr. Fredrickson joined ACT in 2000 and held a number of technical and operations management positions before he was promoted to Vice President in 2011, from his previous position as Senior Director of Infrastructure & Projects.
Prior to joining ACT, Mr. Fredrickson led a team of technical consultants for XKO Network Systems, where he’d worked since 1993, providing network and IT consultancy to their customer base across the UK.
