ACT Conferencing Signs New Channel Partner in Mexico

Grupo ACT leverages ACT's collaboration services for competitive edge

Lakewood, Colorado — March 2, 2010 ACT Conferencing continues to expand its channel base in Mexico having recently signed Grupo ACT (Asesoría y Consultoría Tecnologíca) as its newest channel partner in the region. Grupo ACT, founded in 2002, provides telecommunications and IT solutions to corporations, educational institutions and government agencies.

Due to the lack of collaboration services available in Mexico combined with the lack of companies with presence in Mexico that specialize in the infrastructure necessary to offer these type of services with quality and reliability, Grupo ACT partnered with ACT Conferencing. As a result of this partnership, Grupo ACT is now able to offer new collaborative services, such as on-demand audio and web conferencing, reserved audio conferencing, webcast and web conferencing, and video conferencing to its existing customers as well as to market the use of these collaboration tools to potential customers in the region.

"Partnering with ACT Conferencing has expanded our product portfolio, specifically in terms of offering collaboration services which places us ahead of our regional competition," said Jorge L. Toledo Patrón, managing director, Grupo ACT. "In addition to broadening our product offering, this partnership ensures that our new collaboration services are of the highest quality and reliability – something our competitors cannot claim."

Grupo ACT offers a variety of telecommunications and IT solutions that include:

  • Audio and video project integration for corporations, education and government
  • Integration of projects for security, including closed circuit TV
  • Integration of projects for collaboration, utilizing video conferencing, audio conferencing, web conference, streaming, etc.
  • Rental services for equipment and rooms for events and conferences

"Grupo ACT was an attractive partner for us as they already carry a solid reputation in the region and service a variety of organizations spanning several vertical markets," said Marina Bogard, chief sales and marketing officer, ACT Conferencing. "Partnering with Grupo ACT has been a mutually beneficial opportunity as both companies are generating a greater presence in this region."
