ACT Conferencing Expands Operations in Latin America

Lakewood, Colorado — November 30, 2009 — ACT Conferencing, global provider of corporate audio, web and video conferencing solutions, is expanding its operations in Latin America. The conferencing provider now offers conferencing access numbers in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela. ACT has also forged new partnerships in this region.

ACT's newest partner is Gtel Comunicación SA de CV, a carrier with small, medium and global customers. Gtel now offers ACT's reservationless audio and reserved audio conferencing services. Gtel sought a partnership with ACT primarily due to ACT's Global Bridge Linking (GBL) capabilities. GBL enables Gtel to provide its customers regionally recognized local and toll-free phone numbers that terminate on a regional bridge. ACT's GBL reduces conferencing costs by up to 33 percent and provides participants with a familiar language and local accent. ACT offers GBL throughout the globe with local and toll-free access in more than 75 countries.

Gtel was also interested in ACT's robust and reliable global platform, and high touch audio conferencing and reserved web conferencing services.

"We felt ACT was the ideal partner to round out our service offering," said Joel Rodriguez, conferencing director, Gtel. "ACT's services are reliable, flexible and offer a level of customer convenience that other providers just can't match. In addition to great products, ACT has provided us with very effective marketing and sales support that has enabled us to attract new customers much more quickly than we ever imagined. Teaming with ACT was a valuable business decision for us."

To support its growing customer and partner base in this region, ACT has added support for seven new currencies bringing its total supported currencies to 14. ACT is among the first conferencing providers to offer localized support in this area.

"We are aggressively expanding our partner base in Latin American because businesses based in these countries need greater access to more affordable, reliable and localized collaboration services in order to continue doing business in the global marketplace," said Marina Bogard, chief sales and marketing officer, ACT Conferencing.
