ACT Conferencing Appoints APAC Regional Director
Lakewood, Colorado — November 23, 2009 — ACT Conferencing, a global provider of corporate audio, web and video conferencing services, has appointed Trevor Lewis to director of channel sales and strategic alliances for the Asia Pacific region. Lewis, based in Sydney, Australia, oversees the development and execution of the ACT Conferencing channel partner strategy and sales business in the Asia Pacific region.
Lewis has been with ACT for more than 10 years serving in various sales positions throughout the United Kingdom and Asia Pacific region. The company currently serves more than 400 customers and five channel partners in the region and expects to aggressively expand its reach in this area within the coming months.
"We are in the process of solidifying several new relationships with channel partners throughout APAC," said Lewis. "By leveraging an expanded channel team, ACT will gain the ability to reach more businesses in need of quality conferencing services faster. This means our channel partners will reap revenue quickly as businesses exchange their poor performing collaboration services for ACT’s premium conferencing solutions."
According to reports from Wainhouse Research, APAC collaboration and conferencing revenue and usage growth rates have far exceeded growth rates in the European Union and North America for several years. Yet, despite the tremendous growth of collaboration and conferencing revenue and use, the APAC region is still far below market penetration rates compared to European and North American markets. The combination of high growth rates and low market penetration for collaboration and conferencing services makes this market highly attractive.
"The APAC region offers significant growth opportunity for ACT due to the expansion of global businesses in the area and the demand for one conferencing provider that can service all of a global company’s regional locations," said Marina Bogard, chief sales and marketing officer, ACT Conferencing. "ACT is one of very few providers that can offer global support with service level assurance. We are well positioned to offer high quality collaboration solutions in this region of the world."
On December 2, ACT is exhibiting at the AIRA (Australasian Investor Relations Association) Conference in Sydney. ACT is also supplying its conferencing services to be used by select speakers during the conference.
