Global Bridge Linking (GBL)
Global Bridge Linking (GBL) enables least-cost routing by automatically linking meeting participants in dispersed locations around the world. Participants dial local or toll-free telephone numbers, and the global platform connects the callers, avoiding the high cost of international direct dial. GBL is a feature of ACT's ReadyConnect® reservationless audio conferencing service.
Save Money on Higher Quality Calls
Because hosts and participants are dialing in-country caller-paid or toll-free numbers, both the host and participant save money. Additionally, the connection is local, providing less latency and feedback on the line.
Automatic Back-up and Recovery
In the rare event of bridge failure or busy networks, callers are automatically re-routed to alternate redundant bridges in the ACT system to assure business continuity. If a single bridge fails, only the affected participants need to call back, and they will be reconnected to the meeting.
How GBL Works

Guests dialing from disparate regions dial into a bridge geographically located close to them. Our technology does the automatic linking to provide higher quality calls with decreased costs.
Features of Global Bridge Linking
Digital Recording/Replay
Digital recording is a feature that allows a conference call to be recorded and stored for playback at a later time.
- Activate the recording: Dial *#2 at the beginning of the call.
- Access the recording later: call the access number provided in your region and enter the Confirmation ID. Access numbers and Confirmation ID both can be found on your ReadyConnect confirmation provided when you initiated your account.
Web Conference Control (WCC)
WCC is an Internet-based application that allows the host to manage a ReadyConnect conference. Account holders are sent the URL with login credentials and instructions with their confirmation.
